Germany national football team dominated the pitch

Germany vs. Scotland game started with an expected dominance by the home country. Germans found an early goal with the wonderkid Florian Wirtz in the first 10 minutes but before the goal they made it clear that Scotland was not going to resist too much. Only 9 minutes after Wirtz’s goal, Musiala took the stage to make it 2-0. Two wonderkids of Germany decided the faith of the game in the first 20 minutes.

After the second goal, Germany was still giving the Scotland defense a hard time. In the 44th minute, Scotland lost all its hopes after Porteous’ hard foul to Gundogan. Germany turned the penalty into a goal, and Scotland lost one of its players as the referee pulled the red card out of his pocket. Germany led the half in confidence, 3-0.

Nagelsmann made some changes in the second half and only 5 minutes after coming into the game, Füllkrug made it 4-0. Germany’s fifth goal was scored by Emre Can in the 90th minute while Scotland’s only stat on the scoreboard came after Rüdiger’s own goal in the 87th minute. The Germany vs. Scotland match ended after a one-sided performance by the home team.

Scotland national football team had all the fan support

Scotland had a lot of fans cheering for them at the start, but things did not go well in the match. After Porteous was sent off, Scotland had trouble keeping up with Germany. Germany used this advantage to score more goals. Scotland managed to score one goal, but it was not enough to change the outcome. Emre Can scored another goal for Germany right at the end, making the final score 5-1.

First half we got it all wrong. We didn’t show up, we weren’t aggressive enough. We let good players get on the ball. Their game plan worked a million times better. Second half we dug in with 10 men. We lose a sloppy goal at the end but we could have drawn the second half.  It was disappointing but we have to bounce back quickly. There was a lot of things wrong today and we need to sort it because its a quick turnaround to Tuesday.

Scotland now needs to prepare for their next game against Switzerland. This game is very important if they want to stay in the tournament. They missed Billy Gilmour, who did not play in this game, and they will need to think about how to get better for the next match.

Germany’s strong start in the tournament shows they are serious about winning. Scotland will have to work hard in their next game to keep their chances alive in Euro 2024.
