The Werner MT-22
I was in the market for my first outdoor ladder with the requirement that it was able to 1. telescope 2. fold for easy storage 3. durable enough that it would last for years, i'm thinking 10+. Given that I plan to own the ladder for longer that I've ever owned anything for, I decided I could spend a little more money.
I browsed around and found The Werner MT-22 was #1 on Amazon for telescoping ladders and read some Amazon reviews. With be beauty of having Amazon Prime, I could get it in 2 days with "free" shipping (part of $79 Amazon Prime membership). I didn't hesitate to buy it with the joy of not having to pay for shipping. Two days later I came home and noticed something huge at my door! The ladder was only wrapped in clear thick plastic with ladder visible, I was actually glad it was heavy or else someone might have thought about stealing it. I unwrapped the plastic and found that it already comes assembled, which is great that no assembly is required. It also came with instructions with many different variations to use the ladder in different scenarios.
The Sturdy foundation gave me a confident state of mine when I was puting up Christmas lights. The Werner also has spring loaded locks that pop to lock the ladder at certain heights. This is a great ladder that I know will last me a lifetime.
