Low Flow, High Velocity Shower Heads from Oxygenics

When my house was built in 2001, it came with unsatisfactory, really wimpy low flow toilets and shower heads. My gym opened several years later, and their low flow shower heads were certainly better than the ones at my house. Recently, however, they replaced all their shower heads with new ones from Oxygenics. What a great reminder of  the old days, when a shower head let out a good stream of water. I hadn't enjoyed a shower like that in a long time.

When visited the Oxygenics web site, I could tell why the gym replaced all the shower heads. Government regulations say shower heads can only use 2.5 gallons of water per minute. Several Oxygenics shower heads take as little as 1.5 gallons per minute and still have  superior flow of water. The illustration that most nearly matches what's at the gym has a way to control the flow and needs 2.0 gpm. The gym's open 24/7, so not paying for half a gallon of water every minute someone is in the shower must add up to significant savings. Giving a more satisfying shower experience to its customers is a nice extra.

Oxygenics shower heads operate on the Venturi principle. So does like placing your thumb over a  garden hose. By forcing water through constricted openings, you increase its velocity. That in fact lowers the water pressure, but it certainly doesn't feel like it. That lower pressure is, so to speak, on the other side of your thumb. Once the water gets past the constriction, it's moving very fast. Besides that, the inner workings of Oxygenics  shower heads include an accelerator fin to speed it up even more.

Inner parts are made of Delrin. Its non-stick surface that prevents sediments and mineral deposits.  It won't be necessary to take your shower head down for periodic cleaning. Oxygenics shower heads also have air intake ports that increase how much oxygen is  in the water. The richly oxygenated water, in turn, improves the health of your skin.

The gym installed one of the selections in the SkinCare Series, one of the least expensive models. Oxygenics sells seven other series. Pick between wide and narrow sprays, or between hand held shower heads and mounted shower heads. Some series offer a selection of four or even eight different spray settings.
