FISHING T-SHIRTS: A PRIZED COLLECTION

“All work and no play make Jack a dull boy.” This is an adage that never gets old in the workplace. Hence, when confronted with boredom, people – this applies to workaholic people,in particular – really try to find ways that would create a detour from their workload. It is believed that this so-called detour is what gave way to the establishment of various leisure pursuits. Those, who have an outgoing personality, often prefer engaging in sports. On the contrary, those who go for a laidback lifestyle also choose hobbies that suit their nature. These hobbies usually include scuba diving and fishing, where calmness and serenity are encountered;and between these two hobbies, fishing is the most preferred. This especially holds true for men.

There are men, who engage in fishing, just to relax. However, there are those who can really be considered fishing enthusiasts. These people are the ones who have made fishing part of their lives. They have grown to love fishing to the point that they really purchase items that involve fishing. One can conclude that these enthusiasts own every fishing t-shirt possible. Apparently, fishing t-shirts are not the only items related to fishing. There are fishing rods, baits, and hooks of various forms and sizes. Nevertheless, if popularity and prices are taken into consideration, there is no other way to manifest one’s love for fishing but through a fishing t-shirt. Thus, it is no longer surprising if a number of companies invest on fishing t-shirts. They hire designers, who incorporate their ideas on a shirt, and sell them for a very reasonable price. These shirts are not normally found on shopping malls though. They are usually seen in boutiques or stores where water resources abound because these are the places that are often visited by fishing enthusiasts.

If you are one of these fishing enthusiasts, you probably have a collection of your fishing shirts. Surely, you would no longer be surprised if a couple of fishing enthusiasts also have one of their own. In truth, if you also have a friend who loves fishing, you might even be sharing your collection with him. But given that fishing shirts are rarely sold, I doubt that it is likely to happen. Fishing enthusiasts would rather keep their prized possession to themselves. Thus, they are able to boast of the rarity of their items – the kind that others do not have.

NoFollow Links in Submissions

Would anyone else like a change in the nofollow tag placed on all non-Seekyt article submissions? I am sure that I would be more likely to promote Seekyt and write more often for them if they allowed this. It would be a benefit for both us and the owners of Seekyt. We would be able to get a backlink to somewhere else that we have published something and Seekyt will receive many more submissions and new members than before.

I actually stopped writing for HubPages because they would not let me put a link in my article back to my personal Beginners Exercise Website. I feel like if I am helping them make money, I should be able to at least provide one link in an article.

Youtube Fixed - Action Required by Seekyt Members

If you haven't already noticed, YouTube videos that used to work flawlessly suddenly stopped displaying yesterday.

It appears that YouTube has changed the way that their embedding works, and perhaps they have also changed their API.

Videos used to be embedded in an iframe using the following protocol: http://youtube.com/embed/http://youtube.com/v/videoIDgoesHere

While this may not have been the most elegant solution, it worked perfectly for thousands of people who use this particular YouTube plugin within a text editor.

Now, the embeds work like this: http://youtube.com/embed/videoIDgoesHere

Also, the following type of link: http://youtube.com/v/videoIDgoesHere now redirects to Google's API.

Videos can once again be embedded, but all existing YouTube videos will need to be replaced. Youtube has not announced a change, and I'm wondering why developers were not warned. Had I known this would happen I could have initiated a change before all existing videos on Seekyt were redirected to a 404 error page.

For those interested, Seekyt is now using the Google API method (http://youtube.com/v/videoIDgoesHere) instead of the embed method (http://youtube.com/embed/videoIDgoesHere) in order to avoid another issue with the embed API.

I'm very sorry for the hassle.

I have notice that aside from referral buttons which can help us refer people in seekyt and enable us to earn 25% on their articles, we can also place the referral banner code in our own website.

My question is, Is it allowed to put my referral ads code banner at the bottom of every article i published in seekyt or should I limit myself on placing a basic referral link?

I am thinking that maybe it can also be a great way to refer other people in seekyt.

Seeking New Recruits - Admin's Keyword Project

Hi Everybody,

I have personally worked with a very small, select group of Seekyt authors over the past month, providing each person with a small set of keywords that have at least 1,000 exact match searches per month, and "low competition" - competition is determined by the page-one results in Google, not by the number of people mentioning the keyword. These keywords also have reasonably good CPC values (more than $0.40) and have active advertisers.

These keywords are not set it and forget it - they require writing an amazing article (I'm looking for between 600 and 1,000 words here, not the bare minimum) and they require backlinking. Backlinking consists of a mixture of social links, internal links from other Seekyt articles, articles on other websites linking back to you, social bookmarking and other sources if possible.

The links should have your keyword as the anchor text approximately 50-60% of the time, and the rest of the time the link should either have no anchor text (just a clickable URL), or have non-targeted anchor text. For example, if your keyword was "dog training in Dallas," you would use that keyword 50-60% of the time as your anchor text, you would use the URL of your article without any anchor text to link back, and you might use "read this dog training article" or "click here to read a dog training guide," or even just "click here" as the anchor text.

So far, there have been some great results. Most of the participants have written the articles and are now working on the backlinking stage. I have personally seen some of the keywords receiving targeted Google traffic in my Analytics.

I also wanted to add a little bit of proof to my keyword methods:

For the "easy to rank" keywords that I gave to a few select members of Seekyt, Angelgirlpj has a page one rank for every keyword I worked with her on.

1. Flowers names for kids

2. Flowers for weddings in December

3. Flowers for funeral meaning

4. Flowers types for weddings

5. Flowers with meaning tattoos

This should demonstrate that the research and data that is being provided is accurate. You can rank well in Google with a Seekyt article, and you can do very well with keyword research.

Those keywords are extremely-low traffic keywords and may not make a huge difference in Angelgirlpj's Analytics or AdSense account. However, that strategy was part of a "write hundreds or thousands of low traffic articles" project. The new project is "write several high traffic articles and build links to them."

I am now recruiting people who may be interested in writing articles based on the keywords I provide to you on a personal level.

If you are given some keywords, you will be expected to:

1. Not share the keywords, not write the articles on another website, etc.

2. Write a great article - write an article with more content or better content than your competitors have, include images or videos, write at least 500 or more words, and write the article formatted as detailed in step 4 of the keyword research tutorial.

3. Build quality backlinks to your article - if you're not willing to do this, please don't ask for keywords. You will need to be willing and able to get backlinks to your article. If you have an existing portfolio of articles on another website, you can use those articles to link back to your new content, and you won't have to write an entirely new article.

4. Work with me - if you need help or advice, you will be expected to ask me. More often than not I am willing to help you on a personal level, set up a personalized SEO strategy with you, give you advice and answer questions. If you get frustrated with this, you shouldn't quit; instead, ask me for help.

With all of this in mind, if you are interested in writing some great articles, learning the basics of SEO and applying them in practice and theory, and above all else, seeing results for your work and earning money over time in a way that is easy to understand, send me a private message or contact me to get started.
