I think the Amazon widget on the bottom would work better if it was more specific and not just based on broad categories. If we could perhaps be allowed to input keywords so that the widget can be specific, we would be able to sell more.
Amazon focused articles
You only make money from Amazon if someone clicks through your link and purchases a product. Therefore the key is to get someone to click on your affiliate link. Like jcmayer said, don't rely on the widgets on the side or bottom. You won't sell a lot of products that way. I usually add a picture or two and provide in-text links. People usually don't click on picture links. Make your in-text links enticing. Don't just link the name of the product. Instead, write something like, "To buy or read more reviews on Amazon, click here." Link that entire sentence to the Amazon product you are trying to sell. I usually have 2 to 3 Amazon links spread throughout my article. Anything more than that looks distasteful. Good luck!
Would it be possible to get long vertical adsense banners that are either on the left or right side of longer articles? I think there is a lot of potential revenue to be made.
okay, thanks. Yeah I figure Google was dancing.
Count me in!
Wow 5% is really impressive. I have to find new strategies to convert my Amazon clicks in to sales!
If you check out Wizzley, the people there are making a killing selling Amazon products. They use the same basic system of inputting the ASIN code but there are a lot of customization options on how it shows in your article. Pictures are definitely bigger and clearer so it is definitely possible, I just don't have the technical know how. It would be great if we can improve on the Amazon ads come this holiday season.
I really like how the Amazon products are on the side now, which is much better placement than before. I do believe that Amazon could make more money for everyone if the pictures were bigger and clearer. Just a suggestion!
THIS IS AMAZING. YAY!!!
Any idea when Chitika ads will be going up? Feel like I've been waiting forever even though its only been a week =)
I'm guessing Seekyt has more than 5,000 unique visitors a day. Will it automatically qualify for Gold Status with Chikita or will we have to wait? I know that on infobarrel, my Chikita ads are Gold Status even though I personally get very few views.
Yeah I like the advertising network idea because if it works, it's guaranteed income! 70% of 30 dollars (21 dollars) a month for an article would be AMAZING.
i'm not jumping ship as well. I love seekyt and I have earned more here than anywhere else. I think you should keep seekyt and try Chitika. I love the idea of a second website and a report button sounds like an excellent idea. There definitely needs tougher moderation of the articles. There were plenty of times where I would read spun articles as well as articles riddled with grammar and spelling errors. Good luck to you Tyler!
Hope this issue gets resolved soon.
Love the new look admin!
Thanks admin! Your determination to always improve Seekyt gives me the confidence that this website will be huge in the future!
Man I almost had a heart attack when I found out that Seekyt was down. I'm glad to see it up and running! Thanks admin!
I've had some issues with the site when using chrome. Sometimes the page doesn't load or I can't copy and paste my articles. I'm glad to hear that server capacities will be doubling. I hope to see Seekyt continue to improve!
I also started at infobarrel, but have since moved to Seekyt. My articles seem to perform much better here, getting picked up quickly at Google and ranking much higher than any of my Infobarrel articles.
